Pakistan’s best online property portal comments on Nawaz Sharif’s message of peace and equality during Diwali

Lamudi Pakistan echoes Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s message of tolerance at a Diwali celebration last week in Karachi, by pointing out the connection between multiculturalism and the rise of foreign interest in Pakistan real estate.

Sharif’s attendance at the event was in itself a huge statement because it is the first time that a head of government in Pakistan has attended such a celebration.

However, it was the Prime Minister’s speech that had the most impact. He stated clearly and without ambiguity that oppressive acts toward Sikhs, Hindus and other minorities in Pakistan would not be tolerated. He added that all Pakistanis should celebrate the holidays of other cultures because it would bring people together.

“Prime Minister Sharif’s words reflect the sentiments held by our company, both in Pakistan and globally,” said Saad Arshed, Country Director, Lamudi Pakistan. “Our clients and customers come from a diverse set of cultures and nationalities, and we respect them equally. We celebrate all holidays at Lamudi, because real estate is about more than just properties and land, it is about community.”

Recently, Lamudi Pakistan released data about the increase in foreign interest in the nation’s real estate, which showed that more than 170 countries visited the online property portal in 2015. According to Arshed, increased foreign interest is a result of Pakistan’s growing multiculturalism and acceptance of diversity, which was underscored by the Prime Minister.

“Although more than 80 percent of our traffic comes from inside Pakistan, our traffic from foreign visitors is increasing rapidly. From 2014 to 2015, it increased by more than 25 percent. This is a clear indication that outsiders are becoming more comfortable with the idea of investing in Pakistan’s real estate. This is undoubtedly and in a large part due to the increasing tolerance of minorities in our country.”

As a testament to the Pakistani people’s solidarity with their leader as well as their fellow citizens of other cultures, the term “Diwali” was among the top ten trending topics on the microblogging platform Twitter. Many well-known Pakistanis took to Twitter to add to the Prime Minister’s message of tolerance, including Nafisa Shah, a Pakistani activist.

The Huawei devices department has been established in Pakistan, not more than a year ago. The tremendous success which this division has achieved shows the inspirational corporate leadership in Huawei, elevating the brand to this outstanding level.

The mobile devices launched by Huawei in Pakistan in the year 2015, have helped achieving heights of success in the local market. Particularly the Honor series, Mate Series and P series smart phones have taken the brand to an ultimate next level. The company has made record unit shipments this year, skyrocketing its sales and highlighting the brand among the top leaders in the mobile technology world.

The business growth of Huawei in Pakistan has seen an increment of 15% since the institution of devices department here. This significant increase has successfully outshone the leading brands like Samsung and snatched the title of best-selling smart phone, with Huawei’s P8 Lite.

The inception of the devices division in Pakistan, has given new dimensions to the technology market in the region. The mobile phone market has welcomed exceptionally great smart phones which are loaded with high tech features and are available at affordable prices. The Huawei devices department has tremendously flourished in Pakistan, in a very short span of time. The record sales achieved in the H1 of 2015 has clearly shown to the competitors that Huawei is “In it to win it”.

The overall success of Huawei comprises of numerous other milestones too. Fog Lights and In-Car Entertainment Top Most In-Demand Features Among Car Buyers In Pakistan

Car makers are investing billions of dollars to add new technologies that, it turns out, are not being utilized by many of the owners of those vehicles, according to a recent report. In fact, the report finds that at least 20% of new-vehicle owners have never used 16 of the 33 technology features measured. When it comes to used cars, which features are likely to make or break a sale? Carmudi, the easiest way to buy and sell your car online, has analyzed data based on hundreds and thousands of global listings uploaded to the company’s car classifieds website to determine the most in-demand features worldwide.

Fog lights are one of the most popular features in Pakistan. 81% of vehicles purchased on Carmudi Pakistan have fog lights, compared to 60% of vehicles in the UAE. This is most likely driven by the need for central & Northern Pakistan in the winter dense fogs when driving actually becomes a nightmare and many highways and ports are closed down for days.
In car entertainment is very important in Pakistan. Carmudi revealed that 80% of vehicles sold were iPod/MP3 compatible, which is extremely high when compared with other regions. For a comparison, 45% of vehicles sold in the Philippines are iPod/MP3 compatible My assurances that very few cars are sold with this feature, I would say barely 80pc of the cars are sold with entry level CD players, Only the Toyota Grande is sold with an in build android based entertainment system and very high end versions of the Honda and Toyota have MP3/ iPod compatibility.

Car alarms proved to be popular globally, but not in Pakistan. Only 7% of cars sold on Carmudi Pakistan featured alarms, as compared to 48% in the Philippines and 57% in Indonesia.
Government is pushing to make alarm systems as a standard feature.

Managing Director Carmudi Pakistan, Raja Murad Khan said “Pakistan is still lagging behind the rest of the world and there is little interest in safety features like ABS. Also with rumors of apple working on self-driving, Tesla and other manufacturers coming up with Electric vehicles, I am personally very excited to see where the global landscape goes in 10 years and how quickly Pakistan with catchup on technology. It’s imperative that the popular features become standardized very soon and newer; more exciting things start coming out. I am also very interested to see indigenous technologies coming out of Pakistan soon.”
